"Atlantid" refers to the architectural feature also known as a "telemon" or "atlas", a colossal male figure used as a column or console in the facade of buildings. Atlantids are often sculpted with a torso arising out of a geometric base, expressing great exertion. Here, the tree form bears an uncanny resemblance to human form, further reinforcing our sense of biophyllic connection.
