This piece, “Procella”, Latin for “tempest”, refers to the forces that brought the tree down. The aerodynamic form of the roots and the hollowed interior, seemingly eroded by a counter clockwise vortex, remind us of the increased severity of storm events due to climate change. It is oriented in the same position as when it fell and its through hole creates a sound when the wind aligns with the sculpture’s orientation.
